The Miyabi duo comprises Saki Kato (originally from Japan) and Hugh Millington (UK), who began working together in 2017, and have since performed a variety of repertoire for two guitars, ranging from Renaissance lute duos to more modern pieces. They also perform a range of music from the 19thCentury, including pieces using both a standard guitar and a terz guitar.

In 2018 the Miyabi duo made their debut performance at the London Guitar Festival at Kings Place, and future concert engagements include a recital at Wigmore Hall as part of the ‘For Crying out Loud’ Concert Series.

Their dedication for modern music has seen them collaborate with several composers, both commissioning and performing new works, with composers including Edward Cowie, Geoffrey Poole, and Mat Martin.

They are currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music, where they have taken lessons with many professors, including Fabio Zanon and David Russell. In addition to this, they have recently performed in a masterclass to Odair Assad.
